From December 2 to 7, an international youth exchange "Rural EU" was held in Duga Resa, bringing together 20 young people from Italy, Spain, Romania, and Croatia.
Through workshops, visits to institutions, and teamwork, participants learned about youth participation in the community, how to identify local needs and opportunities, and how to develop projects that bring change to their rural environments. During the mobility, they also learned about and developed Solidarity Projects – concrete ideas for improving the lives of young people in smaller communities – and jointly created the "Rural Youth Solidarity Manifesto," a document that brings together their messages, visions, and proposals for a stronger, more connected, and more solidary rural Europe.
The project was organized by LAG Vallis Colapis in cooperation with partners Maghweb, the Municipality of Palazzo Adriano, the Municipality of Rio, and the Council of Harghita County.
